Greensboro Defeats Royals 76-68

Adam Nicholson scored a game-high 19 points to lead Greensboro College to a 76-68 win over the Eastern Mennonite University men's basketball team Saturday night in the second game of the Bridgewater/Don Glick Invitational. EMU falls to 3-2 overall on the season while Greensboro improves to 4-1.
Leading the way for the Royals with 18 points and seven rebounds was junior guard
Brad Parkes (Winchester, Va.). Senior forward
Jason Sager (Edinburg, Va.) finished just behind Parkes with 16 points and 13 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Sager also added four assists while junior guard
Jered Lyons (Takoma Park, Md.) added another 14 points and three assists.
Greensboro took a three point lead into the half (34-31) behind the shooting of Nicholson and forward Lynn Bright. Bright scored eight of his 17 points in the first half with Nicholson chipping in another 11 points.
The Pride also got a strong contribution from Bryant Camp who added another 14 points and eight boards in the win.
Freshman
Yanni El' DeJesus (Caguas, Puerto Rico) was the other Royal starter to score in double figures with 11 points and two steals.
The Royals return to competition in the Bridgewater/Don Glick Invitational tomorrow afternoon as they play Valley Forge at 2 p.m.
