The Lady Royals bounce back from only their third loss of the season by defeating the Wasps 83-62
EMORY, Va. – The Lady Royals got back on track after suffering only their third loss of the season as they defeated the Wasps of Emory & Henry 83-62 Saturday night. The win gives the Lady Royals sole possession of first place in the ODAC with a 15-3 mark.
Four Lady Royals would score in double digits for EMU with Regina Sours (Luray, Va./Mt. Carmel Christian) leading the way. Sours would chip in 19 points and pull down six boards for EMU. Stephanie Mathews (Woodstock, Va./Central) would add another 14 points and 14 boards for the Lady Royals. Laura Ludholtz (Mt. Crawford, Va./Fort Defiance) and Amanda Renalds (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) would also add another 17 and 12 points respectively.
The Wasps would be lead by Danielle Moore with 13 points and two rebounds. Dawn Chewning would add another nine points and four rebounds for Emory & Henry.
The Lady Royals will be back in action on Wednesday, February 18 against Hollins University. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm.
