HARRISONBURG, Va. – After opening the season on the road for three games, the EMU Men's Soccer Royals finally got to play in front of the home fans at the EMU Turf Field on Saturday afternoon as Marymount made the trip to Harrisonburg. The visiting Saints will march back to Arlington with a 2-1 victory over the Royals in a physical and hotly contested match.

Highlights
- 3' | The Saints quickly found the back of EMU's net when Nour Serrou booted a shot that banked off the left post and in for a 1-0 Marymount lead. That would remain the score going into halftime.
- 71' | Marymount lit up the scoreboard again when they sent a cross into the box that got by Royals goalkeeper Ryan Bousfield after deflecting off of an EMU defender. That made the score Saints 2, Royals 0.
- 83' | The EMU faithful got something to cheer about late when Marymount committed a foul in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty kick to the Royals. Hamid Tokhi stepped up to take the penalty and bury it in the net to cut the deficit in half at 2-1.
- However, the Royals could not find the equalizer in the closing minutes as the Saints held on for the victory.
