HARRISONBURG, Va. – Over the next two weeks, the EMU Athletics Communications Office will be unveiling schedules for the fall of 2026. Today, we will take a peek ahead to the 2026 slate of games for EMU Men's Soccer.
Interim Head Men's Soccer Coach
Trevor Swartz recently announced the schedule of 18 games, with an even split of nine road games and nine at home on the EMU Turf Field.
The Royals will open their regular season on Tuesday, Sept. 1 when they travel to Fredericksburg to take on perennial Division III power Mary Washington. Then, the team will travel to Salisbury, Md., to take on the Seagulls of Salisbury on Friday, Sept. 4, followed by a neutral site matchup against St. Mary's College of Maryland the following day, also in Salisbury.
EMU will then settle in for a three-game homestand at the Turf Field, going up against Marymount (Sept. 12), Gettysburg (Sept. 13) and Bridgewater (Sept. 16). For scheduling purposes, the game against Bridgewater is classified as a non-conference game and will not count towards the ODAC standings.
Following a road trip to Wilson College (Sept. 19), the Royals will then play host to Southern Virginia on Sept. 23 before beginning ODAC play at home against Washington & Lee on Sept. 26. They will then do battle with a Division I foe when they travel to Lexington to take on the Keydets of VMI on Sept. 30.
From there, the month of October features all ODAC opponents for the Royals, with home games versus Guilford College (Oct. 3), Lynchburg (Oct. 10/Homecoming), Batten (Oct. 14), and Shenandoah (Oct. 21). EMU will load the bus for trips to Averett (Oct. 7), Randolph College (Oct. 17), Randolph-Macon (Oct. 24), and the regular season finale at Hampden-Sydney (Oct. 28). The ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament begins with the quarterfinals on Oct. 31, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 4 and the championship game on Nov. 7.
