HARRISONBURG, Va.- EMU Women's Basketball traveled to Hollins on Saturday in hopes of earning their first ODAC win of the season. Unfortunately, the Green and Gold got the better of the Royals by the final score of 84-51.
Jeriyah Osborne was the top scorer for the Royals with 14 points, followed by the team's lone senior
Jayda Jones with 11 points.
Zaria Holden and Sarah Morales co-led Hollins with 17 points apiece. Jacorra Russell and Erin Allen also had double figure days, chipping 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Highlights
First Quarter
Hollins quickly took control of the game, outscoring EMU 22-6 in the opening 10 minutes.
Lexie Dingus, Jones, and Osborne all chipped in points for EMU in the first quarter.
Second Quarter
The second quarter was more evenly matched between the two teams as Hollins edged out the Royals 20-16. Jones made a layup at the 8:36 mark. Osborne had the next six points for EMU, nailing a two-point jumper, sinking back-to-back free throws, and then adding a pull-up jumper at the 3:21 mark.
Jada Waller contributed to the scoring with two free throws and a driving layup. Jones and Jazmin Taylor combined for the final four points of the half, but Hollins held a 42-22 lead at intermission.
Third Quarter
Jones continued her strong performance with the Royals' first points of the second half, a driving layup 46 seconds into the third quarter. However, Hollins then went on a 12-0 run that spanned 2:45 of game time. This gave the Green and Gold a considerable 56-24 margin. Jones broke up the run with two free throws, followed by a
Lauren Townsend two-point jumper. The score was Hollins 46, EMU 31 headed to the final quarter.
Fourth Quarter
EMU played Hollins evenly in the fourth quarter at 20 points for each team.
Grace Burke got in on the scoring with a step-back three-pointer at the 9:14 mark.
Lauren Mayn tacked on a three-pointer of her own, while
Emma Johnson accounted for the Royals' final five points of the game.
