HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - EMU spent the Saturday on the road, making the two hour trek to Hampden-Sydney to take on the Tigers.
HSC used strong starts to both halves to pick up an 86-38 final over the Royals in an ODAC matchup.

Highlights
First Half
It was a rocky start for the Royals, as they went scoreless through the first 10 minutes of the game with HSC taking a 25-0 lead. After a Carr free throw got EMU on the board, HSC drilled a three to push their lead to 28-1. EMU answered with eight straight points from Carr,
BJ Nkrumah and
Donovan Arnason. The Tigers, however, ended the half on a 20-11 run, as EMU's leading scorer over that span was
Aaron Brooks with four, and HSC took a 48-20 lead into the break.
Second Half
HSC started the second half on a 14-0 run, once again holding the Royals scoreless, this time for eight minutes, until another Nkrumah three gave them their first points of the half. A bright spot for EMU in the second half, however, was
Edixon Blanco who, after Nkrumah's three, 13 of EMU's final 15 points of the game, to lead the Royals in scoring. He also pulled down 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.
