HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Royals returned to their home field on Saturday, taking on the Avenging Angels of Meredith College.
Meredith used a goal in the first quarter, and two in the second half, to pick up a 3-0 win over EMU.

Highlights
- The Avenging Angels got on the board in just the third minute, when Maya Kirstein took a pass by Megan Ingenito right in front of the goal. She finished the shot for a 1-0 Meredith lead. Emma Huante picked up her first save, keeping EMU's deficit to one.
- The Royals best scoring chance came in the 10th minute, on an EMU penalty corner. Camryn Lohr wound up for a big shot, but it was blocked by a Meredith defender.
- Huante added two saves in the second quarter, and Shay Gough picked up a defensive save, as Meredith took a 1-0 lead into the break.
- Meredith added two more goals in the second half: one in each of the third and fourth quarters. The Royals offense was kept off the board, for the Meredith win.
