Highlights
First Half
A layup from
Jazen Walker and a pair of free throws from
Isaiah Carr, put EMU on top 4-0 early. Randolph answered with an 8-1 run before another Walker bucket cut their lead to just one. Midway through the half, with the WildCats leading by nine, back-to-back threes from
Julien Hagerman and
Kai Johnson pulled EMU back to within three, but RC answered with a layup to push the lead back to five. They were able to extend it to as many as 14, before a three from Edixon Gomez-Blanco stopped the run. At the 1:17 mark, another three from Gomez-Blanco brought EMU to within six, 37-31, but after a Royals free throw, a basket in the final seconds gave Randolph a 39-32 lead at the break.
Second Half
An 11-2 run started the second half for Randolph, who extended their lead to 16 less than three minutes into the half. It seemed like everytime EMU hit a bucket, Randolph answered with one of their own, as they maintained their double-digit lead for the rest of the half. They were able to get the lead to 16, and the Royals couldn't get any closer than 10. After a WildCat freethrow put RC ahead by 13, Johnson's three rounded out the scoring for EMU.
