ROANOKE, Va. – EMU Women's Soccer hit the road on Saturday, taking on Hollins in the Royals 2024 season finale.
Leah Beachy had another outstanding game, scoring a hat trick for her second straight game and adding an assist, while
Aja Laun picked up her second clean sheet of the week, as EMU downed Hollins 4-0.

Highlights
- Anya Bobrowski got the Royals offense going early, putting a shot on net that was saved by the HU keeper. But 30 seconds later, Amiah Carter sent a pass to Beachy, who didn't miss, netting her fourth goal in the last two games and putting EMU ahead 1-0.
- Later in the first half, Beachy's pass found the foot of Esme Cardoso-Rodriguez, whose shot found the back of the net for a 2-0 EMU lead. The Royals defense did their job well in the first half, holding HU without a shot, taking a 2-0 lead into the half.
- EMU continued to pepper the Hollins keeper with shots to start the second half, with Carter putting one on goal that was saved, followed by Angie DelCid also firing off a shot that was saved. Laun made her first two saves of the game in the 64th and 65th minutes, keeping Hollins scoreless.
- Beachy wasn't done yet: in the 76th minute, the pass from DelCid came to Beachy, who seemed to have the golden foot and scored her second goal of the game for a 3-0 EMU lead. Laun continued to have a great game, saving the final two shots from Hollins to keep the shutout intact.
- Beachy hit her hat trick, and finished out the Royals scoring, in the 88th minute when she her low center shot got past the keeper, getting the assist from Halie Mast.
