HARRISONBURG, Va. - The EMU Women's Volleyball team wrapped up their home ODAC slate on Tuesday, with a tough matchup against #16 Washington and Lee.
The Generals were as advertised as they made just five attack errors for the match, en route to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-11) win over the Royals.

Highlights
Set One - W&L 25, EMU 11
- The Generals pulled out to a 4-0 lead to start the match, before an error and a kill from Kenley Smith, gave EMU their first two points. W&L answered with a 6-0 run, for a 10-2 lead, but EMU scored three straight, highlighted by a Mara Woolford ace.
- The teams traded points, and Sophia Denby picked up a kill, to make the score 12-6. The Generals then went on a 7-0 tilt to take a 19-6 lead.
- Madison Stockner was big at the net, racking up three kills for the Royals at the end of the set. After W&L went on a 3-0 run to pull within set point, a kill from Woolford and a block from Smith and Woolford extended the set, until a Generals kill gave them a 1-0 lead.
Set Two - W&L 25, EMU 14
- Woolford started out strong in set two, picking up a kill and a service ace, to tie things at two. The Generals picked up five straight points, but Denby and Smith had back-to-back kills to cut the Royals deficit to 3.
- W&L was able to push their lead to five, 10-5, but another Denby kill brought EMU to within four. W&L responded with an 8-2 tilt to move ahead by 10, 18-8.
- The Royals added two kills each from Denby and Woolford, one from Smith and an ace from Claire Reichenbach, but W&L finished out the set with a kill and an ace, for a 2-0 lead.
Set Three - W&L 25, EMU 11
- This time it was EMU starting out ahead, with kills from Smith and Mckenzie Taylor, putting the Royals ahead 3-1. A 12-2 W&L run gave them a 13-5 advantage, before kills from Stockner and Kaitlyn Custis pulled EMU within six.
- Washington and Lee then went on a 7-1 run, taking a 20-8 lead. The Royals would get points from Woolford and Smith, but the Generals finished things out with a kill for the win.

What's Next
EMU will be back at home, for the last time this season, on Saturday as they welcome in Hood College for Senior Day. First serve against the Blazers is set for 1 pm.
