The Royals maintained their lead to 17-15 before RC scored three straight. After a kill from Kirkton tied the set at 21, Roanoke picked up three points and ended the set with a kill.
  • Roanoke started out on top in set two, leading 7-5 before EMU picked up two points from Kirkton and Cline to tie it up. Down 8-7, EMU used a 4-0 run, with a trio of RC errors and another Kirkton kill, to take an 11-8 advantage. They were able to extend their lead to 16-11 and 18-14 before Roanoke came back and pulled within one, 18-17. A Kirkton kill and Roanoke error put EMU ahead by three, a lead they held to 22-19, before the Maroons rallied off six straight points to finish the set and take a 2-0 lead.
  • EMU wasn't going down without a fight in set three, keeping Roanoke in their sights. Roanoke was able to take a 17-10 lead late in the set and eventually lead 19-11 and 21-13, but EMU came storming back. Trailing 22-15, EMU went on a 7-0 run with kills from Cline and Kirkton, a Sierra McVey ace and blocks from Kirkton and Lindsay Bly, to tie the match at 22. But a pair of errors put Roaonke back on top, 24-23. EMU tallied another kill to cut their deficit to one, but a kill from the Maroons gave them the match.
