Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – The EMU women's basketball team wrapped up their regular season, Saturday, heading to Lynchburg to take on Randolph College.
The Royals offense had a big second half but it wasn't quite enough as Randolph picked up a 79-59 win.

Highlights
First Quarter
EMU jumped out to a 3-0 lead with points from Mya Hamlet and Trinity Washington. The WildCats responded with a 9-0 run before a KK Johnson jumper stopped the tilt. EMU pulled within four, but Randolph ended the quarter on a 4-0 run to lead 15-7 after one.
Second Quarter
The WildCats started the second with a pair of threes to extend their lead to 21-7 before EMU responded with points from Hamlet and a Jayda Jones three, to cut the lead to seven. The teams traded baskets again, before a pair of Randolph free throws gave them a 25-17 lead at the half.
Third Quarter
Hamlet cut the lead to six to start the third but Randolph would respond and extend their lead to 14. A 6-0 WildCat run was stopped by a three from Lauryn Moore but Randolph was able to push their lead to 19. A Hamlet layup and a Jones three pulled EMU within 14 to end the third.
Fourth Quarter
Moore hit a pair of big threes in the fourth, but Randolph answered anytime EMU started to come back. Both offenses were clicking in the fourth, combining for 56 points. The WildCats were able to maintain their lead throughout, pulling away for the 20-point win.

What's Next
Despite the loss, EMU has qualified for the ODAC Tournament. They are seeded 10th and will travel to Shenandoah on Monday for the play in game. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 pm.
