GREENSBORO, NC – The Royals made the trek to Greensboro on Saturday, heading to NC to take on #14 Guilford College.

The Quakers had three players in double figures and shot 46% from the field as they picked up an 80-54 win over EMU.

Highlights

First Half
The two teams were scoreless through the first two minutes before Guilford went on a 12-2 run. Mark Burkholder scored the first eight points for EMU, pacing the offense in the first 10 minutes. The closest EMU would get would be 16, as Guilford shot a blistering 55% from the field and from three, to take a 40-19 lead into the half.

Second Half
Guilford started the second half on a 12-3 run before Aviwe Mahlong drilled back-to-back threes to cut the score to 52-28. Jameel Davis added a traditional three and, later in the half, EMU went on a run of their own to cut the Quaker lead to 18. But, like the first half, that would be as close as EMU would be able to get as Guilford closed things out to pick up the win.

What's Next

EMU will look to bounce back with a win against ODAC rival Bridgewater on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
