Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. – It was rivalry night in Yoder Arena, Wednesday night, as the Royals welcomed cross-town foe Bridgewater.
The Eagles used a strong shooting performance from the field, shooting almost 50%, en route to a 79-48 win over EMU.

Highlights
First Quarter
After Bridgewater hit a three to open the game, Laila Glymph answered with a bucket to make the score 3-2. With BC leading 9-2, Savanna Crawford and Caris Lucas sandwiched an Eagle bucket to cut Bridgewater's lead to 11-6. BC ended the quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 15-6 lead after one.
Second Quarter
Four straight from BC started the second quarter before Lauryn Moore's layup pulled EMU within 11. After the Eagles pushed their lead to 19, the Royals responded with back-to-back threes from Moore and Trinity Washington and a Washington layup to get back to within 11, 27-16. Bridgewater picked up four points but EMU added a layup from Glymph in the final seconds to send the teams to the locker room with BC leading 30-18.
Third Quarter
Mya Hamlet picked up a traditional three-point play to kick off EMU's scoring in the third. That was followed by a Tiffany Carey jump shot and a free throw from the senior. In the quarter, Hamlet finished with 10 points as EMU trailed 54-31 entering the fourth.
Fourth Quarter
A pair of Moore free throws and a Hamlet layup gave EMU a 4-0 run in a span of two minutes in the final frame. Lucas then caught fire, picking up six points as EMU's offense was able to score 17 points in the fourth.

The Royals will travel to North Carolina on Saturday for an afternoon ODAC matchup with Guilford. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 pm.
