HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Royals got on the board just before halftime, taking a 1-0 lead into the break. The lead held until, with just two minutes left in the match, Randolph found the back of the net knotting things at one. That score would hold, sending the teams to a season-opening tie.

Highlights:

• 41' - EMU got on the board with less than five minutes before halftime. Maria Bettilyon's corner kick found Samm Livermore who beat the Randolph keeper, giving EMU a 1-0 lead. 
• First Half - The EMU defense held Randolph without a shot on goal for the first 45 minutes of the match, clamping down and keeping EMU in the lead. 
• 58' - Lyndsay Harris had a chance to pad the Royals lead, but Alexis Bossi, the WildCat keeper, made a save, keeping the Royals lead at one. 
• 88' - Randolph picked up its first shot on goal of the match, and it turned out to be the equalizer. Sterlyn Woodward took a pass and lobbed a shot from 20 yards out that floated over the diving fingertips of Royals keeper Aja Laun. 
• 89' - The Royals had one more shot at picking up the win when Liliana Guerrero put a shot on goal but the WildCat keeper made the save. 
• 90' - In the final minute, Laun secured the tie, grabbing a save off a shot from Joanne Torres.
