Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. - The EMU women's soccer team welcomed Washington and Lee to campus Saturday, taking on the Generals for Homecoming.
W&L used a first half goal and two second half goals to escape Harrisonburg with a 3-0 win.

Highlights
- W&L's offense came out firing, but Aja Laun picked up a save to keep the Generals scoreless early.
- 6' - Off a Washington and Lee corner kick from Ann Riley Huber, Mady Laudisi's header found the back of the net to put W&L on top, 1-0.
- Laun kept EMU in the game, coming up with six saves in the first half to send the Royals to the break down one.
- 40' - Hailey Smith picked up EMU's first shot of the game right before halftime but it sailed high.
- Washington and Lee added two more goals in the second half, one coming off an EMU own goal, to take a 3-0 lead.
- 90' - The Royals came up with another chance late in the game when Lyndsay Harris got past the defense and fired a shot on goal. But the Generals keeper came away with the save to preserve the shutout.
What's Next
The Royals will hit the road on Wednesday for a midweek trip down to Lynchburg. They'll kickoff against the Hornets at 4 pm.
