Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. - The EMU women's soccer team hosted new ODAC foe, Averett, at EMU on Saturday.
The Royals played well on both sides of the ball, putting offensive pressure on Averett while keeping the Cougars out of the back of the net en route to a scoreless tie.

Highlights
- 8' - The Royals defense held the Cougars without a shot until eight minutes into the game when Samantha Casey was able to put one on net. But Aja Laun came up with the stop, keeping the game scoreless.
- 14' - Hannah Dellinger, who had two shots on the night for EMU, came up with her first a third of the way through the first half. She got around the Averett defense and put one on goal, but it was saved by the Cougar keeper. Her second pressure came in the 25th minute but, once again, it was saved by Alyson Kinkopf to keep things tied at 0.
- Averett had multiple chances to start the second half but Laun continued to be a strong presence in the net, stopping all four shots that came her way in the half's first 10 minutes.
- The Royals continued to put pressure on the Cougars defense, with Olivia Dalke, Lyndsay Harris and Hailey Smith all getting shots off. But none would find their way past the keeper as the game stayed at a stalemate after 90 minutes.
