SWEET BRIAR, Va. - The Royals women's soccer team made their way back into the win column on Wednesday, using a strong offensive effort to take down the Vixens of Sweet Briar College in a midweek ODAC contest. 

Moving through the final week of the regular season, the Royals moved to 4-10-1 on the year, 2-6-1 in conference play.

Highlights

• EMU powered their way on the board in the 28th minute of the first half to take the 1-0 lead. Hannah York took the corner kick and found Samm Livermore with an open look, who shot it past the Vixens' goalkeeper. The goal was Livermore's third of the season. 
• Before halftime, York extended the Royals' lead to 2-0 with her second goal of the season in the 37th minute. The goal was assisted by Lyndsay Harris. 
• In the 55th minute, the Royals tacked on another when Hailey Smith found Mary Kate Bomberger with an open look. Bomberger powered the ball past the Vixens' goalkeeper to notch her first goal of the season. 
• Maria Bettiliyon sank her first goal of the year in the 58th minute to push EMU's lead to 4-0.
• For the Royals' final goal of the evening, Lyndsay Harris beat the goalie on the right side to sink her third goal of the year and push the score to its final tally of 5-0. 

By The Numbers

• The Royals used a steady offensive presence to outshoot the Vixens 34-3.
• 8 - Ashley Iscoa had eight shots on goal on the evening, four of them being on goal. 

What's Next

• EMU plays their final home match of the season on Saturday, Oct. 30, hosting Hollins in an ODAC contest.
