Box Score Harrisonburg, Va. - The EMU women's soccer team looked to pick up a key ODAC win on Wednesday night against visiting Shenandoah. The Royals fell in a quick hole that they were unable to get out of, dropping the contest by a score of 5-0.
Highlights
- Shenandoah jumped out to a quick lead, scoring in just the seventh minute of the match. They went on to extend their lead quickly in the coming minute, knocking two more goals to extend their lead to 3-0.
- In the 20th minute of the match, Ashley Catalano found an open shot to try to tap into the Hornets' lead. The shot had a bit too much power, though, missing high above the crossbar.
- Samm Livermore took a shot at the goal in the 81st minute of the contest that went wide of the goal.
What's Next
The Royals will look to bounce back this coming weekend, hosting Randolph-Macon in their homecoming match on Saturday, Oct. 16. The match has a start time of 6:00 PM.
