Eastern Mennonite will try to snap a four-match losing skid this weekend at home, although it starts with a tall task. The women welcome in preseason favorite Washington and Lee Friday night at 6:30pm, before hosting Shenandoah and Lancaster Bible Saturday in a tri-match. Action starts at 11:00am.
Roanoke took over early in their contest and pulled away to a 25-12 win in the opener. From the onset of the second, the Royals held a small margin before a huge Maroon run steamrolled into a 25-8 final. EMU scored first in the third, and nearly came back from a seven-point deficit, before succumbing 25-17.
