Senior Elisa Ott's (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) second career hat trick provided the perfect finish to Wednesday's 10-0 romp over Hollins University in Salem, Va.  Despite plenty of potential distractions, EMU's soccer women were focused from start to finish of the win.

After rain made Hollins' home field unplayable, the afternoon game was moved to the neutral site of Roanoke College.  Eastern Mennonite was also playing less than 24 hours after a loss at Guilford which knocked the women out of the playoff hunt.

But the Royals were ready to go from the first touch against Hollins, with Kristyn Garlow (Bristow, Va./Patriot) scoring off a Morgan Hill (Martinsville, Va./Carlisle) corner just 2:14 into the game.  After a Hannah Walker (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield) goal, Garlow scored again.  Sierra Martin (Glenwood Springs, Colo./Glenwood Springs) then grabbed the following first pass from Hollins and added an unassisted goal from the right side, blowing open a 4-0 lead after the first 12:44.

Eastern Mennonite led 8-0 by the 32nd minute and added two second-half goals for the 10-0 final.

Ott scored a pair of goals in the first half and added the final tally to complete her second career hat trick.  The senior also scored three times against Hollins in 2013.  Hill notched a pair of unassisted goals, and both she and Garlow finished the game with five points.

Paola Diaz (McGaheysville, Va./Spotswood) scored her first career goal as EMU's four field-playing seniors accounted for eight of the team's goals.  The fifth senior, keeper Becca Borg (Gig Harbor, Wash./Peninsula), picked up two saves for her second shutout of the year.

Emma Petersheim (Linville, Va./Eastern Mennonite) added a pair of assists, while Logann Braun (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) and Amanda Williams (Millsboro, Del./Delmarva Christian) each assisted on one goal.

The Royals are now 1-1-1 over their last three games heading into Saturday's season finale, a 1:00pm game at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Va.
