Box Score The Eastern Mennonite women's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at home to Randolph on Tuesday. The loss left the Lady Royals still in search of their first ODAC win of the season.
The women battled evenly for most of the first half until the 32nd minute, when the WildCats scored after picking up a deflected ball. EMU's short bench roster was further depleted as the half wore on when leading scoring Nora Osei (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) subbed out with a sore leg and starter Kate Harrold (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) went to the sidelines after a collision.
Randolph controlled the second half and stuck in two more goals for the final three-goal deficit.
EMU was out-shot 15-2, with both of the women's shots coming in the first half. Morgan Hill (Martinsville, VA/Carlisle) put the only shot on goal.
Becca Borg (Gig Harbor, WA/Peninsula) returned from an injury and spent the first half back in goal. She spent the second half as a field player as Jenni Beck (Archbold, OH/Archbold) also returned from a preseason injury and played 45 minutes as keeper. Beck finished with three saves.
The loss drops EMU to 3-7-1 overall, including 0-5-1 in their last six games. The road gets harder for the Lady Royals beginning with a game at Washington and Lee on Saturday.
