Yellow Jackets Sting Women On Homecoming

Box Score

The Eastern Mennonite women's soccer team had a special day for Homecoming on Saturday, honoring their parents and lone senior before the game, while also holding a Cancer Awareness Event.  On the field, visiting Randolph-Macon was in control, taking an 8-0 decision.

The Yellow Jackets scored two minutes into the game and scored four times in each half to control the outcome.

Freshman keeper Becca Borg (Gig Harbor, WA/Peninsula) made 11 saves in goal.  Midfielder Janna Kaufman (Friedens, PA/Johnstown Christian), the team's only senior, was honored as part of the pre-game ceremonies.

EMU falls to 3-10-1 with the loss, including 0-8-1 in the ODAC.  The Lady Royals have two road games before their season finale at home on Oct. 24.  The first of those is at Shenandoah next Wednesday.
