Box Score The Lady Royals played another tough match Wednesday night at Hollins, but just couldn't get the kills when they needed them to come out on the short end of a 3-1 decision.
Game one was tied at 17-17 before Hollins closed on an 8-1 run to win, 25-18. The home team then controlled game two, 25-17.
Despite giving up the first four in game three, EMU responded with an 8-0 run to jump ahead 14-8. The lead never got under five as the Lady Royals won 25-16.

The two teams then traded points until the Lady Royals led 24-23. The women committed three straight attack errors to give away the game and a chance at game five, 26-24.
Rachel Kennel (Parkesburg, PA/Lancaster Mennonite) and Sara Ritchie (Harrisonburg, VA/Turner Ashby) served as a two-headed attack, with each landing 13 kills to lead all players. Karla Martin (Stuarts Draft, VA/Grace Christian) added eight kills and 23 digs.
