Beck Gets Career High 13 Saves But Hornets Get Win

Box Score

The Eastern Mennonite women's soccer team was at ODAC-leading Lynchburg College Wednesday night, taking on the powerful Hornets.  A short roster and a talented opponent turned into a 9-0 loss, despite a solid effort from the Lady Royals.

LC controlled both halves of play, scoring four times in the first and five in the second.

Michelle Miller (Sarasota, FL/Sarasota Christian) took EMU's only shot in the game, putting a shot on goal in the 44th minute.

Keeper Jenni Beck (Archbold, OH/Archbold) faced 37 shots and came away with a career high 13 saves.  It was also her fourth double digit save effort of the season.

The Lady Royals return home for their next contest, welcoming Emory & Henry Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm.  EMU will also have their Parent Recognition before the contest.
