Guilford Scores In Each Half To Top Women

The Eastern Mennonite women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponent Guilford Saturday afternoon.

The Quakers scored in the 21st minute after collecting a loose ball in front of the goal.  The home team got insurance on a header from a corner kick in the 53rd.

The Lady Royals were out-shot 24-3.  Michelle Miller (Sarasota, FL/Sarasota Christian) moved from defender to keeper for the game and made a whopping 14 saves.

Taylor Wenger (New Holland, PA/Lancaster Mennonite) and Linnea Slabaugh (Kalona, IA/Iowa Mennonite) had the women's only shots on goal.

EMU, 2-15 overall and 2-8 in the ODAC, close up the season at Hollins on Tuesday afternoon.
