Box Score Riding their two-match winning streak back into conference play, the Lady Royals hit the road to take on one of the best teams in the ODAC, Randolph-Macon. Eastern Mennonite took the first set in Ashland before the Yellow Jackets regrouped to win the match.
Last week, EMU picked up back-to-back sweeps of Ferrum and Mary Baldwin. The women rode that momentum into Monday's match, taking the first set from R-MC by a score of 25-21.
The Yellow Jackets, who entered the contest with just two losses on the year including one in the ODAC, backed up their record by taking the next three sets. Game scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-19.
The Lady Royals fall to 3-16 on the season. The women are still looking for their first victory in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and are now 0-7. They are next in action Thursday night when they host rival Bridgewater at 6:30pm. The match has also been designated a "Dig Pink" night as the two teams raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer.
