#3 Lynchburg College scored a goal in each period as the visiting Hornets moved to 15-0-3 on the season following a 2-0 conference win over the Eastern Mennonite University women's soccer team Saturday afternoon.

Lynchburg is now 8-0-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, placing them second overall behind Virginia Wesleyan which is 9-0-1.

EMU falls to 8-7 on the year, 6-4 in the ODAC.

The Lady Royal defensive unit and keeper Abi Diffenbach (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) did a valient job of keeping the third ranked team in Division III off the board throughout most of the first period. Betsy Kwaitkowski put the visiting team on the board with the eventual game-winning goal in the 26th minute as she hit the back of the net off an assist from Joanie Snyder.

Snyder then assisted on the second goal of the game for Lynchburg in the second period as she fed Katie Santos 10-yards in front of the EMU goal with Santos slipping one just past the outstretched arms of Diffenbach.

The goal was the 18th of the year for Santos.

Diffenbach registered seven saves on the day for EMU.

The Lady Royals will wrap-up the regular season at home as they host Hollins University on Tuesday, October 28, at 7 p.m.
