Lady Royals Fall in Four to Lynchburg College

After dropping the second game Lynchburg College came back to take the next two and the match over the Eastern Mennonite University women's volleyball team by a score of 3-1 Thursday night in Lynchburg, Va.
Game scores were 30-19, 22-30, 30-26, and 30-9.
The win gives the Hornets an 8-2 record overall and a 1-1 mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while the Lady Royals fall to 4-11 on the season and 1-2 in the conference.
Dara Sandifer registered a team high 43 assists for the Hornets along with 20 digs while Katie Boucher had another 18 kills along with 20 digs.
For EMU, senior
Courtney Miller (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite) had 14 kills and 12 digs for the double-double while senior
Megan Good (Quito, Ecuador/Prairie) added another seven kills for the Lady Royals.
Freshmen
Monika Burkholder (Linville, Va./Eastern Mennonite) had five kills, five block assists and four service aces with freshman
Jenny Blosser (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite) and sophomore
Laura Stoltzfus (Parnell, Ia./Iowa Mennonite) collecting 17 and 12 digs respectively.
Junior setter
Sara Hoffman (Leesburg, Fla./Leesburg) had 28 assists in the loss.
The Lady Royals will return to the court on Friday, September 28, for a home match against Averett at 6:30 p.m.
