Yellow Jackets Sweep Lady Royals in Women's Volleyball

Kendra Smith and Alix Macrae had seven kills each while Michelle Lindsey had eight as Randolph-Macon College recorded a 3-0 sweep of the Eastern Mennonite University women's volleyball team Tuesday night in Yoder Arena.
The Yellow Jackets improve to 2-4 overall on the season and are 1-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while the Lady Royals fall to 3-7 with an 0-1 mark in the conference.
Savanna Love led the Yellow Jackets with 16 assists in the game with Michelle Kutcher notching 17 digs.
April Hines had six service aces and four kills for RMC.
Sara Hoffman (Leesburg, Fla./Leesburg) had 22 assists and five service aces for EMU with freshman
Monika Burkholder (Linville, Va./Eastern Mennonite) adding another six kills.
Three Lady Royals reached double digits in digs as seniors
Courtney Miller (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite), and
Laura Bomberger (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite) led the pack with 12 while sophomore
Laura Stoltzfus (Parnell, Ia./Iowa Mennonite) had 10. Miller also led the team with seven kills.
EMU will take on the Knights of Southern Virginia on Thursday, September 13, with the match set to start at 6:30 p.m.
