Women's Volleyball Falls to Roanoke 3-0

The Eastern Mennonite University women's volleyball team dropped its Old Dominion Athletic Conference match to Roanoke College in three games, 30-23, 30-28, and 30-25. The loss drops the Lady Royals record to 1-3 in the conference and 5-10 overall.
Roanoke (9-5, 5-0) was led by Katie Breene and Torri Bridge on offense while Caitlyn Long contributed 15 digs on defense for the Maroons. Breene tallied 10 kills and five digs on the day while Bridge added another five kills and 10 digs. Jenna Burnop also added another 10 kills for the Maroons.

Megan Good (Alberta, Canada) led the Lady Royals with 11 kills while senior
Lisa Berry (Dalton, Ohio) had nine kills, 10 digs, and four service aces.
Junior
Kristina Zaccaria (Mt. Sidney, Va.) had 36 assists while sophomore
Dana Sprowl (Swoope, Va.) finished the game with seven kills and two assists for EMU.
The Lady Royals will return to the court on Tuesday, October 3, against Randolph-Macon Women's College. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
