Women's Basketball Falls 66-46 to Bridgewater

Bridgewater College guard Jessica Timberlake netted 17 points to lead the visiting Eagles past the Eastern Mennonite University women's basketball team 66-46 Saturday afternoon in Yoder Arena in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.
EMU falls to 2-1 overall on the season and 1-1 in the ODAC while Bridgewater improves to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Timberlake, Shannon Scales, and Katy Herr-Lovell each scored in double figures for the Eagles with Scales and Herr-Lovell recording 13 and 11 points respectively. Amy Childs led BC in rebounds with 11 while Herr-Lovell added another nine boards and three steals.
Sophomore
Carolyn Riley (Warrenton, Va.) led the Lady Royals with 10 points and nine rebounds. Freshman
Ebony Dennis (Baltimore, Md.) and junior
Jolene Kratz (Telford, Pa.) each poured in another nine points for EMU with Dennis adding seven rebounds with Kratz recording four steals.
Sophomore
Mandee Madden (Winchester, Va.) contributed another six points for the Lady Royals off the bench.
EMU returns home on Tuesday, December 5, as they host conference opponent Roanoke College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
