Bridgewater Defeats EMU Men's Basketball 90-77

Freshman guard Dominic Trawick scored a game-high 35 points to lead Bridgewater College to a 90-77 win over the Eastern Mennonite University men's basketball team Saturday night in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.
The Royals fall to 5-4 on the season and 1-2 in the ODAC while Bridgewater improves to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Trawick was 19-of-19 from the charity stripe and added two rebounds for the Eagles. Matt Drewer collected 14 points and five boards for the Eagles in the win.

Jason Sager (Edinburg, Va.) and junior
Brad Parkes (Winchester, Va.) again led the charge with Parkes tallying a team high 22 points and 10 boards for the double-double while Sager tallying 20 points and five rebounds.
The five rebounds pushed Sager up to 770 for his career and into third place on the EMU all-time list passing Larry Yoder (EMU '73). Sager ranks sixth on the career points list with 1,490 and is only 40 points shy of fifth all-time.
Junior guard
Jered Lyons (Takoma Park, Md.) had another 12 points and two steals for EMU while freshman
Yanni El' DeJesus (Caguas, Puerto Rico) recorded 10 points on 5-of-7 from the field.
Freshman
John Overstreet (Forsyth, Ga.) had seven points and four rebounds off the bench for the Royals.
After the Holiday break the Royals will take on Lynchburg College on Saturday, January 6, at 1 p.m.
