Shenandoah Sneaks by Royals 83-81

The Eastern Mennonite University men's basketball team outscored Shenandoah 44-35 in the second half but was unable to get the final few points towards the end of the game as the Hornets defeated the Royals 83-81 Tuesday night in Winchester, Va.
EMU (2-1) had three players score in double figures including senior
Jason Sager (Edinburg, Va.) who led the way with 27 points and 17 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double. Junior
Jared Lyons (Takoma Park, Md.) added another 16 points while junior
Brad Parkes (Winchester, Va.) chipped in another 14 for the Royals.
Shenandoah was paced by Onyie Onunaku who was 8-for-10 from the floor and finished with a team high 23 points and 10 rebounds. Lenzie Adams and Jeremiah Lawrence also scored in double digits for the Hornets with Adams scoring 17 points and tallying four assists while Lawrence recorded 16 points and four rebounds.
The Hornets had outscored EMU 37-48 after the first half.
EMU will now play Ferrum on Monday, November 27, at 7 p.m. in its next contest.
