Hat Trick for Lamm Gives Lady Royals 3-0 Win over Randolph-Macon

Katie Lamm (Newmanstown, Pa.) recorded her second hat trick of the season to lead the Eastern Mennonite University women's soccer team past Randolph-Macon by a score of 3-1 Wednesday afternoon in Ashland, Va.
The Lady Royals improve to 11-3 overall and 8-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while Randolph-Macon falls to 4-10 overall and 4-6 in the conference. The 11 wins rank third in EMU women's soccer history only one behind the 2002 squad which won 12 games.
Lamm opened the scoring for EMU at the 27:02 mark on a break away goal to put the Lady Royals up 1-0. Forty nine seconds later Lamm netted her second goal of the game to push the EMU score to 2-0.
Lamm capped the scoring in the second period at 64:29 with her third goal of the game and 18th of the season.
Senior
Joy Shaiebly (Lancaster, Pa.) recorded two saves while Mary Jocelyn and Heather Bleile notched five saves combined for Randolph-Macon.
Kendall Kirtley scored the games only goal for RMC on a cross from Beth Blendell.
EMU will continue on its road tour on Saturday, October 21, as they travel to Emory, Va., to take on the Wasps of Emory & Henry.
