Women's Volleyball Falls to Lynchburg 3-0

The Eastern Mennonite University women's volleyball team dropped its Old Dominion Athletic Conference match to Lynchburg College in three games, 30-23, 30-28, and 30-16.
The loss drops the Lady Royals record to 1-5 in the conference and 5-16 overall while Lynchburg improves to 10-12 overall and 4-4 in the ODAC.
Lynchburg got a strong performance from Katie Warlick who finished the game with a team high 16 kills along with six digs. Dara Sandifer had 38 assists with Chelsea Jones contributing three service aces for the Hornets.
Lynchburg was in control for most of the match until the second game where the Lady Royals were able to tie the game up at 28 all thanks to two Lynchburg attack errors.
EMU gave the Hornets the lead right back with a costly service error while a block by Amanda Walsh on the next rally sealed the game two win for Lynchburg. Walsh finished the game with two solo blocks and one assisted.
EMU was led by junior
Megan Good (Alberta, Canada) who tallied seven kills and one service ace. Junior
Courtney Miller (Harrisonburg, Va.) had four kills and two service aces while
Kristina Zaccaria (Mt. Sidney, Va.) had 23 assists.
Senior libiero
Kara Stoltzfus (Parnell, Ia.) led the team with 13 digs while sophomore
Dana Sprowl (Swoope, Va.) notched one solo block and one assisted.
Randolph-Macon will be the next contest for the Lady Royals on Thursday, October 12. The match is set to start at 6:30 p.m.
