Lady Royals Drop Three Matches at Emory & Henry
Kara Stoltzfus and the Lady Royals dropped three tough matches in the Emory & Henry Tournament on Saturday.
Eastern Mennonite University came out on the short end of three matches in the second day of the Emory & Henry College women's volleyball tournament on Saturday in Emory, Va.
EMU (0-4) lost its first match of the day to Ferrum College 3-2 by game scores of 16-30, 31-29, 22-30, 37-35, and 15-6. In the second match, EMU again lost 3-2. This time it was a loss to Shenandoah University by scores of 26-30, 30-27, 30-19, 23-30, and 15-10. The final match of the afternoon was a 3-1 loss to North Carolina Wesleyan College by scores of 28-30, 30-26, 30-22, and 30-22.
EMU will have the week off before traveling to the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic, an 18-team tournament Friday and Saturday in Gettysburg, Pa. The Lady Royals will battle Scranton at 5 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. meeting with Johns Hopkins.
