EMU Falls to R-MC 3-0 in Women's Volleyball

Randolph-Macon College hit .392 as a team, including .517 in the third game, in picking up a 3-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite University in Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's volleyball action on Wednesday evening in Harrisonburg, Va.
R-MC (21-3, 9-1 ODAC) defeated EMU (4-19, 2-7 ODAC) by game scored of 30-9, 30-22, and 30-15 in extending its current winning streak to eight matches. EMU dropped its second in a row after a four-match win streak.
Sophomore middle blocker Megan Good (Alberta, Canada) led the Lady Royals with 10 kills. Junior outside hitter Lisa Berry (Dalton, Ohio) had six kills and seven digs while sophomore outside hitter Courtney Miller (Harrisonburg, Va.) had five kills and seven digs. Junior libero Kara Stoltzfus (Parnell, Iowa) had a team-high 15 digs.
Junior outside hitter Maggie McDearmon (Amberst, Va.) led the Yellow Jackets with 14 kills and seven digs. Senior outside hitter Veronica Briggs (Phoenix, Md.) had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore libero Michelle Kutcher (Freedom, Pa.) led R-MC with 16 digs.
EMU will play its final home match of the season on Friday in a non-conference contest against Hood College at 6:30 p.m.
