EMU Loses Two Matches in Bridgewater Volleyball Invitational

Eastern Mennonite University participated in the Bridgewater Invitational on Friday, losing 3-0 to host Bridgewater College and falling 3-1 to Marymount University.

In the opening match, the Lady Royals fell to the Eagles by game scores of 30-13, 32-30, 30-20. It was the third meeting of the year between the two schools, with Bridgewater winning all three matches 3-0. Senior Becky Langstraat returned to the floor after missing several weeks with an injury. She had eight kills. Freshmen Amanda Morris and Courtney Miller had nine kills apiece.

In the second match, Marymount defeated EMU by game scores of 30-17, 28-30, 30-26, and 30-13.

On Saturday, the Lady Royals will square off with Hollins University at 9:00 a.m. and Southern Virginia University at 11:00 a.m.
