Guilford and EMU Tie in Women's Soccer

Eastern Mennonite University and Guilford College battled to a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's soccer match on Saturday in Harrisonburg, Va.
EMU (3-5-1, 1-1-1) started the scoring as freshman Zana Patterson broke away from the Quaker defense and scored unassisted to give the Lady Royals the early 1-0 lead. Sophomore goalkeeper Joy Shaiebly tallied 14 saves for EMU.
Sophomore Jennifer Mundy scored the lone goal for Guilford College at 84:26 off an assist by sophomore Jennah Carter. EMU and Guilford College (3-7-1, 2-2-1) battled through two overtime periods before the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Lady Royals will be back in action on Monday, October 4 at Randolph-Macon Women's College at 4:00pm.
