Carrie Grandstaff hit two crucial free throws to seal the win over Randolph-Macon

ASHLAND, Va. – Carrie Grandstaff (Luray, Va./Mt. Carmel Christian) hit two crucial free throws to seal the 87-83 win for EMU over pre-season number one Randolph-Macon. The Lady Royals remain unbeaten on the season and now stand at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the ODAC.

Leading the scoring barrage for EMU was Laura Ludholtz (Mt. Crawford, Va./Fort Defiance) with 27 points. Stephanie Mathews (Woodstock, Va./Central) added 15 points and 11 boards while Regina Sours (Luray, Va./Mt. Carmel Christian) chipped in with 11 points.

EMU finished the game 19-22 from the free-throw line and 32-56 overall for the game.

The Lady Royals will be back in action on Sunday, December 14 at Marymount College. Game time is set for 4 pm.
