HARRISONBURG, Va. – The EMU Lady Royals improved to 9-6 overall and 7-4 in the ODAC with a 6-0 romp over Emory & Henry College. EMU outshot the Wasps of Emory & Henry 32-4.

The Lady Royals got things started midway through the first period when freshman Vanessa Rice (Strasburg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) scored unassisted to put the Royals ahead 1-0. Rice would later add another goal to give her five on the season.

Making her final regular season start at Bomberger Field senior Ellie Lind, (Durban, South Africa/Three Rivers (Mich.)) gave the fans something to remember her by. Lind netted two goals and added an assist to break the EMU single-season goals and points scored record. She now has a total of 23 goals and 52 points to lead the ODAC.

Rochelle Yoder, (Normal, Ill./Normal) one of four EMU seniors recognized before the game, had three saves on the day. Sophomore Laura Beiler (Glenfield, N.Y/South Lewis) and freshman Kristina Robinson (Broadway, Va./Broadway) also had goals for EMU.

The Lady Royals will be back in action on Wednesday, October 29 at Christopher Newport. Game time is scheduled for 6pm.
