ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon College volleyball team defeated
visiting Eastern Mennonite University, 3 games to 2, in the first Old
Dominion Athletic Conference match for both teams on Wednesday evening.
Game scores were 30-23, 30-19, 22-30, 27-30, and 15-9. With the win, the
Yellow Jackets improved to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC. The Royals
dropped to 2-8 on the season and 0-1 in the conference.
Leading Eastern Mennonite was senior Jill Stoltzfus (Parnell, IA/Iowa
Mennonite), with 10 kills. Sophomore Becky Langstraat (Corvallis,
OR/Corvallis) and freshman Julianne Null (Powhatan, VA/Grove Avenue
Baptist) each had 17 digs. Junior Stephanie Miller (Harville, OH/Central
Christian) contributed with six service aces.
