Sarah Roth Shank returns for her second stint on the EMU coaching staff.  A former Eastern Mennonite player herself, Sarah was a graduate assistant with the Royals during the 2012-13 seasons.

She grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she played field hockey for Lancaster Mennonite High School and club with Sutter's Brigade Too.  Sarah graduated from EMU in 2010 where she studied history, political studies and pre-law.  She was a four-year starter for the Royals field hockey team, co-captain for two years and earned All-ODAC and VaSID honors.

Sarah was selected as the female recipient for the President's award at EMU in 2010.  She received her Masters degree in Conflict Transformation with a focus in restorative justice from EMU in 2014 and is now the Admissions Director for the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, a graduate program at Eastern Mennonite.
