Lady Royals Drop ODAC Match At Bridgewater
Freshman Tommi Michael had a career high five kills against the Eagles.

The Eastern Mennonite volleyball women closed out the ODAC portion of their schedule Wednesday night, playing at rival Bridgewater College and dropping a 3-0 final.

The two teams had met earlier in the season as well, with the Eagles taking a 3-0 non-conference decision at the Guetle Invitational in Washington, DC.

After an even start in game one, BC took over momentum midway through and grabbed a 25-19 win.  Game two was a similar story with the Lady Royals dropping a 25-16 decision.

The women then fell behind early in game three and lost 25-16.

Tabitha Bowman (Waynesboro, VA/Stuarts Draft) led the offense with eight kills.  Freshman Tommi Michael (Front Royal, VA/Skyline) landed five kills on just eight attempts.

Jessica Goertzen (Goessel, KS/Goessel) had 22 assists while Mattie Lehman (New Paris, IN/Bethany Christian) had a team high seven digs.

The women, now 6-19 overall and 0-10 in the ODAC, close the year with a non-conference tri-match at home this Saturday.  They will play Southern Virginia at 1:00pm and Marymount at 5:00pm, with the other two teams playing each other at 3:00pm.
