The Eastern Mennonite women's volleyball team hosted Lynchburg Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg.  Both teams had played the previous evening, but the Hornets had more energy in a 3-0 sweep.

The teams battled evenly early in game three before Lynchburg closed things out on a 14-4 run for a 25-13 score.

Kyle Moorefield (Danville, VA/Tunstall) led EMU with five kills and five service aces.  Tabitha Bowman (Waynesboro, VA/Stuarts Draft) also have five kills with one solo block.

Mattie Lehman (New Paris, IN/Bethany Christian) split time between setter and libero and finished with team highs of nine digs and seven assists.

With the loss the Lady Royals slide to 3-9 overall and 0-3 in the ODAC.  Their four-match homestand continues next week with Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday and Shenandoah on Thursday.
