EMU Soccer Women Voted To Finish Seventh In ODAC Poll
The Eastern Mennonite women’s soccer team was picked to finish seventh in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Poll. The Lady Royals finished 2010 sixth in the ODAC at 5-5-1, but the loss of four-year keeper Abby Diffenbach and two of their top three scorers weighed the women down a spot.

Eastern Mennonite University has announced the hiring of Sue Kolb as its new women's soccer coach. She has been the assistant women's coach at Bluffton University the past two seasons, with this being her first collegiate head coaching position.

Year Ends With Quarterfinal Loss at Virginia Wesleyan
Even though the regular season ended with a 6-2-1 surge, the Lady Royals met up with an abrupt ending to the year as they fell 4-1 to Virginia Wesleyan in the ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals Saturday. The third-seeded Marlins scored a pair of goals in each half to out-distance sixth-seeded Eastern Mennonite.

Lynchburg Shuts Out Soccer Women, Tourney Starts Saturday
For the Lady Royals, Tuesday's date with Lynchburg really had no bearing on their postseason. Win or lose, Eastern Mennonite would take the sixth seed in the ODAC Tournament and play at Virginia Wesleyan. The Hornets, however, needed a win to clinch the regular season title. They got what they needed by a 3-0 score.
