Women Dominate OT To Advance To ODAC Championship Game
The EMU basketball women have earned a trip to the ODAC Championship game for the first time since 2004, as they got past fifth-seeded Lynchburg College on Saturday, 84-77 in overtime. The top-seeded Royals had a 6-0 run early in OT to take the lead and never gave it up.

No. 1 Royals Escape W&L, 68-58, To Advance To ODAC Semifinals
This time of year the goal is simple: win and move on. While the EMU women didn’t do everything effectively Thursday afternoon, they did enough to grit out a 68-58 win over eighth-seeded Washington and Lee in the ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals at the Salem Civic Center.

Griffin Named ODAC Coach Of The Year, Ygarza & Sykes Honored
EMU women’s basketball coach Kevin Griffin has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Royals to their best-ever finish in conference play. Junior forward Bianca Ygarza earned a repeat selection to the All-ODAC First Team, while sophomore Shakeerah Sykes was named All-ODAC Second Team.
