Quntashea Lewis enters her second season as Graduate Assistant with the Royals Women’s Basketball team. Lewis joined the coaching staff in August of 2016 and is looking for a promising follow up year in the 2017-2018 season.

A 2016 graduate of Salem College, Lewis was afforded the opportunity to play for two phenomenal head coaches, Anita Howard and Britni Mohney, during her four year tenure as a student-athlete with the College. During the 2013-2014 season she was apart of a Salem team that went on to achieve a 21-5 record as well as a Conference Championship and bid to the NCAA Tournament where they later fell to the No. 1 seed in the country, Thomas Moore.

Quntashea capped off a stellar playing career at Salem College, being named Team MVP, Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Salem College Anne Woodward Student-Athlete of the Year, D3 Hoops All-Region 3rd Team and NC Collegiate Sports Information Association 1st Team College Divison All State as a senior. In her final year she led the GSAC in scoring averaging 20.7 points per game. Quntashea was also second in league rebounding (13.1pg) and steals (2.2pg).

Quntashea is in her second year of a Masters program here at Eastern Mennonite University. In May of 2018 she will graduate with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Organizational leadership.
