Seven Named To All-ODAC Teams In Record-Setting Year
In a season in which 12 team or individual school records were tied or broken, it is only fitting for the Lady Royals to land four players on the All-ODAC First Team, the most ever for the program. Junior Lisa Lee (Buckingham, Va./Buckingham County) headlines the foursome, as she was also named Old Dominion Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year. EMU had three players named All-ODAC First Team in 1990, the first year of softball in the league, and have only had multiple players on the First Team three times in previous 21 years.

Offense Gets Going As Lady Royals Stay Alive To Face BC
The Eastern Mennonite softball team has been in the ODAC Tournament championship game each of the past two years taking two different routes each time. In 2009, the Lady Royals lost their first game and advanced through the losers' bracket before finishing as runner-up. Last year, EMU won four straight games to sweep to the title for the second time in program history.

Eagles Bounce EMU Women From ODAC Tourney With 3-1 Defeat
Two wins away from reaching the ODAC Championship game, the Eastern Mennonite softball team locked up with rival Bridgewater in a losers' bracket game Friday afternoon in Salem, Va. In their regular season meeting, EMU swept a thrilling doubleheader from the Eagles. But in this meeting, a lengthy mid-game rain delay hampered both teams and the Lady Royals couldn't cash in on their chances in a 3-1 loss.
